| Weapons Cleaning & Maintenance Class |
Many of us have never really been taught the newest and best methods to disassemble, clean, and lubricate our firearms so that they will work each and every time we need them to work properly. If you talk to almost any gunsmith about the firearms customers bring in for repair with some kind of complaint about the weapon's performance, 95% of these "problems" can be fixed by a through cleaning. Many of the newest lubricants sold today specifically for firearms are space age in origin and 300% better in performance than the old age "Rem. Oil" our grandpa used. In addition to proper and thorough cleaning, many firearms need periodic maintenance to keep working flawlessly. This type of maint. is especially needed in semi- auto pistols and their magazines to keep them working properly.
In this class we will cover topics like:
*How to properly disassemble your weapon and re-assemble. *Thorough cleaning and lubrication of your firearms for harsh conditions. *How heat and cold effects your firearm lube causing it to fail. *How to function check your weapon's operation after re-assembly. *Regular maintenance replacing main springs in the weapon and magazine.
When you register for this class you will tell us the weapon you will be using so we can ensure we have the correct guidelines for that weapon for class. You can bring pistol, rifle, or shotgun for your chosen weapon for class.
