Eagle Outdoor has created a series of classes for the shotgun to help all of us begin to learn some basic skill sets using the shotgun for our home defense. The shotgun is one of the most powerful weapons we can use in shorter ranges, like we find in and around our own homes. But it is NOT just a point and shoot weapon, you must learn to use the sights and a some basic tactics. Our classes will teach you these skills and more.
Basic Shotgun
In this class we cover firearms safety, loading & unloading, shooting basics of stance, shoulder mount, & sighting, using chokes, shell loads & patterning, cleaning & maintanence.
Shotgun Home Defense
This class covers our basic class content plus; Types of shotguns for home defense, shell brands, loads, & patterning, tactical loading, shooting from cover, shooting strong side and weak side and shotgun accessories.
Equipment needed for these classes include eye and ear protection, 50-100 rounds bird shot, 5 rounds buck shot, shotgun cleaning kit, and clothes for outdoors shooting range in all weather.
